TMS570LC4357: Is using a scheduler which gets called by timer interrupt enough diagnostic to satisfy diagnostic VIM5A and B?

Part Number: TMS570LC4357

Hi experts,

The Safety Manual lists diagnost VIM5A and B, which suggest testing the VIM at boot and periodicaly.
The Safe TI Library implements this tests by triggering a ESM Error by doing the CCRM Lockstep Error Forcing Test.

In our Application we use a RTOS which uses a counter to call the scheduler by interrupt.

(Q1) Can the interrupt for the scheduler be considered as enough of a diagnostic to satisfy the VIM Diagnostic?

Thank you and best regards,
Max
