TMS570LC4357: CPU2A: Does Forcing an Error into LBIST lead to a reset?

Part Number: TMS570LC4357

Hi experts,

The Safety Manual suggest forcing an error into the LBIST sequence to check for proper error signaling.
If I understand correctly this can be done by writing the FAULT_INS bit in the STCSCSCR register and starting the selftest.
What I do not understand is if the CPU needs to be put into Idle Mode and if the fail does trigger a selftest Reset.

(Q1) Is it necessary to put the CPU into Idle Mode to start the LBIST error forcing mode?

(Q2) Does the detection of the fault lead to a reset?

Thank you and best regards,
Max
