If you want to de-select one module in "Driver Enable" panel, for example CAN1, you need to remove can.c manually before re-generate new files.

Just read your code, please find my comments below:

1. GIOB[1] and GIOB[2] are not configured correctly. They should be configured as output. The default is input.

    gioPORTB->DIR = (0x03 << 1) ; 

2. Toggle GIOB[1] and GIOB[2]

    gioToggleBit(gioPORTB, 1);

    gioToggleBit(gioPORTB, 2);

3. Please add a long delay after the GIOB is toggled, the LED's on/off is not observable.

    delay(0xFFF);

    the best way is to enable RTI and toggle GIOB in RTI ISR. I will give you an example

Please add a breakpoint at the next instruction of gioInit(), then check the GIO registers in register window to make sure the GIO module is out of reset:

bit 1 of GIOGCR0 should be 0x1

If yes, please write 0xF to GIo DIR register manually (click the register value and type 0xF), then write 0xF to GIO DOUT or DSET register, then check if the LEDs are turned on.

This demo project likes "hello world", it is very simple.

You can add breakpoint at while(1), and check the value of gio registers, and change the value of GIO DOUT register to turn on and off the LED.

You can use Register Window of IAR workbench to check the value of GIO registers and change the value of GIO DOUT register:

Both IAR IDE and debuggers support TMS570 devices. I don't have license to use IAR workbench. I am not able to test the code on IAR IDE.

I saw your email. Did your customer step into the GIO function and check the GIO DOUT or DSET registers? As I said 4 days ago, the IAR IDE supports register view. You can open the register window, then step into your gio function and check the value of DOUT and DSET. You can directly change the value of DOUT or DSET from the register view window.
