TMS570LC4357: Difference between a bus error and a abort?

Part Number: TMS570LC4357

Hi experts,

I am a little unsure what kind of an error response a bus error is supposed to be in the context of the manual. Sometime it seems to be a data abort and sometimes it seems to be something else.
I intially assumed a bus error would always lead to an exception like a abort, but could be handled differently. But when looking at table 6-46 in the Data Manual the Flash is listed a having Bus errors as error response.

I case of a address partiy error in the Flash the HW is supposed to set ESM 3.13 and nERROR and signal a bus error. If I understand this correctly the bus error is the same as a Data Abort in this case. Which would lead me to believe that a bus error is a Abort.

(Q1) What is the difference between a bus error and a Abort?

Thank you and best regards,
Max
