AM2634: Suitable PMIC or multi-Channel DCDC?

Part Number: AM2634
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS62826, TPS54334, TPS62442-Q1

Team,

I have already checked the discrete power tree implemented in theTMDSCNCD263 Control card (TPS54334 for 3.3V, TPS62826 for 1.2V, 1.8V seems to be internally generated by the AM263x).

Would the TPS62442-Q1 (Dual-channel DCDC) be suited to power the 3.3V and 1.2V power rails?

Thanks in advance,

A.

  • Hi

Apologies for the Delay, this thread has been dropped out and lost. Is your query resolved?

If not, I have checked the different power consumptions in Am263 (Datasheet):

Here, we have VDDAR (1.2V) and VDD (1.2V) need maximum 2.5A. And VDDS (3.3V) need maximum 200 mA.

For the  TPS62442-Q1 (Dual-channel DCDC), you have shared, the current and voltage specs are as below (datasheet):

    Input and Output Voltage Ranges:

Here you can consider the input, output min and max voltages. TPS62826  also has input voltage range of 2.4-V-5.5-V. Hence, 6V max input should be okay.

Here, the 3A and 1A combination can be used for 1.2V and 3.3V power rails.

So this TPS62442-Q1 should be suitable for the AM263.

Please share us your inputs as well. Are these current requirements suitable for you?

    Thanks & Regards

    Sri Vidya
