AM2431: Using the SysConfig tool for ALX version is missing selecting GPMC pins

I was trying to select the GPMC pins on the ALX using the Sysconfig tool so I can map my boot pins on the AD0 - AD15 lines.

I do not see the option to select those pins

I also tried it with 1.12.0+2406 with same issue

Hi Iance,

The AM243x ALX does not support DDR nor GPMC, so that is why.. If you really need GPMC, then you have to use ALV.

Thank you for pointing out the ALX does not support GPMC.
Is there a suggested way to reserve the pins for the 16 Boot lines. It was a little confusting becasue the datasheet shwos the ALX pins for the boot lines use the GPMC pin allocation. See below an example from the datasheet for BOOT0 mapped to R21 pin on the ALX.

If the tool allowed me to reserve the pins I would know which pins might be in conflict with my other pins assigned on the ALX.

Hey lance,

Completely agree that recognizing possible bootmode pin conflicts would be a valuable insight that could be gathered from a system pinmux configuration. This feature is not currently available, but I will start an internal thread to determine possible implementation details.

Regardless of this possible feature, the boot functional requirements, and associated post-boot application functional requirements, of any given pin should be fully comprehended via system-level, schematic-level, and datasheet verification.
