AM2432: Emac mode SWTICH is not working in SDK the example - Following issue

Hi TI Experts,

after implementing the changes from the thread AM2432: Emac mode SWTICH is not working in SDK the example we get the following errors while trying to start the system.

After Switching from SDK 08_02_00_12 to 08_02_00_31 and making the changes in the example everything starts up fine.

Is there a posibility to change ther MAC-Address?

Hi Sven,

Can you please provide me additional details on what you want to change?

Currently the application will get the interface MAC address from Predefined MAC addresses provided by resources manager.

Do you want to change interface MAC address?

exactly we'd like to set the interface MAC address of the switch with our company mac addresses.

After Switching to SDK 08_03_00_05 the same failure occurs...

What can we do to solve the problem?

We had the same startup failures as mentioned above, but after adding the following code lines to "EnetApp_initLinkArgs" the switch starts up without errors.

IcssgMacPort_Cfg *macCfg = (IcssgMacPort_Cfg *)linkArgs->macCfg;
IcssgMacPort_initCfg(macCfg);

But another problem is, that only one of the two ports is working properly.

We're not able to get a ping response when only Port 2 is connected, although there's a link up message for Port 2 in the trace messages.

Also the behaviour of the link/activity led's is strange.

The link led is not working and the activity led shows traffic on both ports whether there is a connection or not.

Maybe it's the same problem Tommy Beckmann mentioned in the thread EMAC mode SWITCH in combination with lwIP stack

Hi Sven,

Please provide me additional details on which example you are referring to weather it is lwip example or enet_layer2_icssg example.

If you are using enet_icssg_lwip example then currently the application which comes with SDK is in MAC mode and also one MAC(ENET_MAC_PORT_1) port enabled by default.

For your information I am working on extending this to support switch mode.

Hi Mohan,

like in the referenced thread, we're using the "examples\networking\lwip\enet_lwip_icssg\am243x-evm" and did the changes mentioned by you.

Would be great to get an updated version of the (working) switch example soon.
