AM2431: Does uart_uniflash.py tool support any Flash part ?

Hi,

My customer is consideirng to use a different QSPI Flash device (MT25QL128ABA1ESE-0SIT) from that on AM243x LaunchPad. They're using AM2431 ALV package. In this case, should they modify uart_uniflash.py or configure something for this tool to flash the image ? or does this tool support any QSPI/OSPI Flash part without modification ?

We’re referring to the following document, but we’re not sure if any modification is required for the above their Flash part.

Hi Hideaki-san,

The uart_uniflash.py is just a python script which uses the sbl_uart_unflash to write the sbl_ospi (qspi) and/or appImage into the flash. The sbl_uart_unflash will use the flash driver to read/write to the flash on the AM243x LP. Currently, it only supports the flash on the AM243x LP. If you want to use different flash, you will need to write your own flash driver. Refer to the following link for details:
