TMS570LC4357: ADC channel AD1IN[31] is not working

Hi,

I am working with the development board Launchxk2-570lc43 and use the ADC1 with all channel include AD1IN[31], but this channel is not working. The others channels is correct working, I see in the datasheet that interal temperature sensor use the channel AD1IN[31], however all sensor by default are disable. Other rarely thing that happens is when I put low and high level signal in AD1IN[30] the AD1IN[31] change too.

Hi Pablo,

To use AD1IN[31], the PINMMR174[24] must be cleared to 0. (TRM 6.5.13)

PINMMR174[24] is to enable and disable the Temperature Sensor:
pinMuxReg->PINMUX[174] |= (uint32)(~(0XFEFFFFFFU)); --> to enable the temperature sensor

However ADC1N[31] cannot read a value unless the Temperature Sensor is Powered up:
pinMuxReg->PINMUX[174] &= (uint32)(0XFEFFFFFFU);

Thank you for you help. It's working now!. Just add that you have to enable pin muxing

/* Enable Pin Muxing */
pinMuxReg->KICKER0 = 0x83E70B13U;
pinMuxReg->KICKER1 = 0x95A4F1E0U;

/* To use AD1IN[31], PINMMR174[24] must be cleared to 0 */
pinMuxReg->PINMUX[174] &= (uint32)(0XFEFFFFFFU);
