SAFETI-HALCOGEN-CSP: HalcogenTAU License initialisation Error

We are trying to run the HalcogenTAU tool but it would appear to fail to connect with the LDRAUnit license server we are using. The LDRAUnit software is successfully running and we have had our IT team check that the license server is running properly.

What we have tried so far:

Ensuring PATH variables are updated correctly (Checked with another engineer that has the tool working).

Checked license configuration tool is set up correctly

Compared C:ProgramData/LDRA/LDRAUNIT-TI-QUAL9.4.3.INI files. These are different (from other engineer's) but nothing would appear to be for licensing, not much information could be found for how this file is set up correctly.

Re-installing LDRAUnit & HalcogenTAU

Comparing targetConfigs directory within source

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

Hi AK,

I installed LDRAUNIT-TI-QUAL9.4.3 and tested the TAU this morning, and got the same error:

I will investigate this issue today.

Hi Ray, Andrew,

Do you use LDRAUNIT-TI-QUAL9.4.3 or new version LDRA tool? The LDRA expert told me that the HalcogenTAU is not compatible with the newer version. Where did you get LDRAUNIT-TI-QUAL9.4.3?

Hi QJ I am using version 9.4.3 from 2014. As far as I know our IT department has an archive of software and deploy to specific machines on approved request. I have asked a colleague in IT assisting with this issue where/when they got the LDRA Tool from but they are out of office at the moment. I've attached the LDRAUnit9.4.3 about info box... if that helps.

Our IT team usually just go off to the website that is referenced when the software is requested, and they’ll download it from there.

Hi Ray,

I reinstalled the LDRA (10.0.3) and the license. It works

The TAU GUI checks looks for the valid LDRA license by calling a function: Can you please run conunit-ti-qual.exe which is located in c:\Program Files (x86)\LDRA\LDRAunit-TI-Qual_C_CPP_9.4.3 to see if there is a valid license?
