TMS570LC4357: DMA12 1Bit ECC Test triggers EMS 1.82 and 1.3

Hi experts,

We implemented the DMA12 diagnostic similiar to the example given by the SafTiLib and the Technical Reference Manual (Chapter 20.2.17).
The Problem is that after flipping the LSB, reading the Adress ( 0xFFF80010U) triggers ESM 1.82 as well as 1.3.

We tried autoinitializing the RAM before starting the Test, but nothing changed.

(Q1) What could be the reason for this beahviour?

Hi Max,

I noticed that both ESM 1.82 and ESM 1.3 are set. I am not sure what causes this issue.

Hi QJ,

So this normal Behaviour and we just need to reset both ESM Channels after the Test?

Hi Max,

Did you try the test on RevB silicon? I noticed that the silicon on my board is revA, I will find a revB board and run the test again.

Hi QJ,
We checked the boards and both silicons are RevB (TMS5704357BZWTQQ1).

I also checked on RevB silicon, both ESM 1.3 and ESM 1.82 are set. Your code needs to clear ESM 1.3 and ESM 1.82 after 1-bit ECC error injection test.
