Dear Champs,
My customer found UDMA RX Channel Open Failed issue after CPU reset as below.
Could you please check and suggest what should be checked further to resolve this issue?
They are using AM243x-GP EVM, MCU+SDK 8.2.0.31 and CCS1110.
When they boot-up AM243x GP EVM at initial time with GEL files, the LWIP worked well as below.
After this,
when they suspended AM2434 and reset it using 'RUN -> Reset -> CPU Reset' menu in the CCS, and resume it, they found below UDMA RX Channel open failed error as below.
They tried it again using SBL_NULL, but still faced the 'UDMA RX Channel open failed error' as same before.
Their sysfw boot log is as below.
When they checked in MCU+ SDK User Manual, they found below 'Attention' which is 'CPU power-cycle is MUST' to run LWIP again as below.
Could you please provide details and let me know if there is any plan to improve this?
Thanks and Best Regards,
SI.
Hi SI,
This can't be improved as reset is needed due to system firmware (who manages SOC resources) needs to be reloaded and rerun. Otherwise, the resource (in this case, RX channel) keeps locked/allocated from the sysfw point of view, causing RX channel allocation failure when asked by R5/LwIP app.
Regards,
Prasad
