LAUNCHXL2-TMS57012: CAN & GPIO transceiver

Please help to advice transceiver EVM board for connecting CAN port of above EVM to send and receiver command with charger.

Also advise a transceiver board for connecting GPIOA pin of above EVM to get input switch signal and output for driving relay coil ( or FET).

Hi Sanon,

There are many CAN transceiver adaptor on market.

You can also design your own board for CAN and GIO.

How 's about GPIO pin transceiver ? We need to connect to input switch and output magnetic ?

Hi Sanon,

The GIO signals are routed to the headers (J4, J5, J8), so you can wire those signals to your switch or magnetic. No transceiver is needed.

If the switch or magnetic requires higher voltage level for example 5V, you have to add a level shifter between GIO MCU and the switch.

Hi QJ Wang,

One more help, please advise a dc to dc converter module for supply voltage to Launchpad TMS570 ( take input form 14s battery 42-58 VDC)

Hi Sanon,

The Launchpad is powered by the USB by default. It has a footprint for power connector for an external 5V DC input.
