Obsolete Device (Dynamic RAM (DRAM))

Hello everyone,

I need a replacement component for my PCB that I have been using for at least 15 years. the component DP8421AVX-25 (Dynamic RAM (DRAM)) is obsolete and can no longer be found on the TI website. Unfortunately, TI support center cannot help me further but recommended me that I post my question in E2E platform. I ask for help with this. Can someone name me an alternativ?

Hello ABdell,

Thank you for your inquiry here on E2E. As you mentioned, this is a very old device from National Semi, and as such, we do not have any information regarding this DRAM. In fact, TI does not have any DRAM devices.

However, I do see that our authorized distributor, Rochester Electronics, has these DRAMs in stock. They also have the datasheet, and that should be useful to find an alternative: https://www.rocelec.com/search?q=DP8421 .
