AM2634: CAN receive/send issue when code change from loopback mode to normal mode

Part Number: AM2634
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSCONFIG

Hi Champs,

I ask this for our customer.

Customer now use AM2634 controlcard for testing. Their AM263x SDK version is 08_03_00_23.

Now the customer change the MCAN project in the example code loopback mode to normal mode, when sample rate is low, the code works well, but when they increase sample rate(to about 80%), the CAN communication will fail.

For example, when sysconfig is configured as below, the code works well. So we think the code should be correct.

But when sysconfig is configured as below, communication will fail.

I noticed that there is a reminder that “Segment after SP(TSEG2) should be large enough to compensate for Transceiver Delay.” Could this be the cause of this problem? If yes, what is the maximum sample rate that can achieve? If not, could you please help analyze why this happens? Thanks!

Best Regards,

Julia
