Dear all,

If i want to enable MAIN_UART0 clock and config its freq .Is there other way besides call Sciclient_pmSetModuleState()&Sciclient_pmSetModuleClkFreq() Func in SDK?

ENV: win7

IDE: CCS

SDK: mcu_plus_sdk_am64x_08_02_00_31

board: AM6442-evm

Hello jimin li,

Can you please share the details of why you want to control the clock from apart from Sciclient functions to better understand the problem?

And apart from this are you trying to control any other parameters like baud rate settings as well?

Thanks for you reply.

Firstly,I need a back up way to control the clock besides Sciclient function after failed in using sciclient function.

Secondly,I've met a problem ablout sciclient control clock in using AM64x-evm board as https://e2e.ti.com/support/processors-group/processors/f/processors-forum/1129142/am6442-am6442 description.

Hello jimin li,

There is no other way to control the clock and its frequency except the Sciclient_pmSetModuleState() & Sciclient_pmSetModuleClkFreq() APIs.
DMSC is used to control device management, on-chip power management, secure boot gate-keeping, runtime security gate-keeping (restricted only during ROM boot) and power features.

Therefore, initialization of each peripheral CLOCK should be done only by the SCIclient API's.

if i use Sciclient_pmSetModuleState() & Sciclient_pmSetModuleClkFreq() APIs to control clock and freq failed,could you kindly give me some debug advices on this condition?

Hi Jimin li,

I can say that, if you're hang up on any function, you should check out the Function Tree window.

Please see below attached image .

Then you need to verify which function is hanging and do debug.
