Could you please let me know if emmc booting will be supported on AM2634 and parallel NAND(or NOR) can be attached through GPMC of AM2634?

At the moment, neither of them is supported.

This is planned sometime next year. And maybe the priority would be GPMC NOR. Too early to commit anything.

For eMMC Boot,

I could not find anything for eMMC boot in the TRM. Do we update it in TRM after implementing eMMC boot in the SDK?

For GPMC for NAND(Parallel),

actually, I got the response that we would not support GPMC in AM263x anymore before in below e2e. Do you mean it is not decided yet and we need to look into it in next year?

Hi SI,

Sorry for confusion.

eMMC boot mode is not supported by AM263x ROM (only UART or QSPI supported) so direct booting from eMMC not possible. We will check again with SW team but believe what we will enable in 8.5/8.6 is hybrid mode where main SBL will still boot from the UART or QSPI and then SBL can load application from the eMMC.

Regarding, GPMC as well, AM263x SOC won't support it because of open errata (below).
