TMS570LC4357: fastest timer value taht can be achieved

Part Number: TMS570LC4357
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: HALCOGEN

wanted to use the RTI to generate a timer for writing and reading from a 1-wire device (the DS28E05)..it runs at extended speed only.

reading 1-wire timing/control with software doc by the manufac of the DS, they state having a resolution of 0.25uSec allows for setup of the various "segments" of the 1-wire read write...I think possibly 0.5u would do it..

Q: can I get that counting resolution out of RTI?...

Q: is it possible to set that resolution using halcogen?..(if resolution possible at all)

Q:  N2HET ..is that an option if RTI is limited?...if so, example of setting up the N2HET for a "compare" at which time I set the state of an I/O (i.e. the I/O is the data line ot the 1 wire)

I've been playing with the halcogen setup...adjusting the PLL2 clock rate as the source for RTI1, then playing with the compare /counter setup for the rti...

let me know if possible..

as usually

appreciate any thoughts/suggestions/asnwers....
