The custom PCB does not have a debug uart. I have a USB to SPI adapter to send commands to the TM4C. Is there a way I can print receive SPI data to this COM port?
Thanks,
Priya

Hi,
There are two methods I can think. You can use the regular printf command to print your data onto the console but this may not be ideal for real time depending on your application. The other method is to use USB device port on MCU. There is a USB controller on TM4C129 that you can use to enumerate as a CDC class device that will act like a UART COM port. You can find the example in C:\ti\TivaWare_C_Series-2.2.0.295\examples\boards\ek-tm4c1294xl\usb_dev_cdcserial. First try it on the LaunchPad to get a feel for it. If your custom board does not have the USB device port populated then the second method will not work. If that is case, I don't really have a good solution. If you can send command to the TM4C via USB to SPI adapter then I hope you can send data back to the PC. Your PC should have some utility to receive and process the data and print on the screen.
