Hi Champ,

May i know XDS200 CDC serial port could be used as general UART or not?

if yes, could you advise how to connect MCU UART to this port!

The TMDSEMU200-U only has a Compact TI 20-Pin (cTI) connector for the target side. Looking at the Pinout for the cTI there are no UART Tx/Rx signals listed.

While the XDS200 supports 2 pin cJTAG which allows the TDO/SWO pin to operate a UART to receive data from the device, the TMS570LS0714 only support 4-wire JTAG.

Therefore, don't think the XDS200 can support a UART from the TMS570LS0714.

The TMDSEMU110-U has a Auxiliary Debug Interface which supports a UART for the target.

Hi Johnson,

As Chester said, the XDS200 doesn't support SCI from TMS570.
