TMS570LC4357: DWWD/DWD when will it be disabled?

"Once the DWD is enabled, it cannot be disabled except by system reset or power on reset"

"As with the DWD, the DWWD is disabled after power on reset"

Both quotes are from the TRM. I am not quite sure when the watchdog will be disabled.

Will the reset triggered by writing to SYSESR disable the watchdog.

The DWWD can be disabled by system reset or PORRST.

Will writing to SYSECR for generating a software reset(warm reset) disable the watchdog?

Hi Avinash,

Yes, writing to SYSECR register will generate system reset and this will disable the watchdog as well.
