TM4C129ENCPDT: About Connector Pin

JTAG communication from XDS110 to TM4C129x.

There is a part that is NC (Not Connect) in CTI 20 Pins, but omit that part and connect it to the Header pin on the Custom Board with a jumper wire.

Connect the Header Pin and TM4C129x with a pin other than the NC pin.

Is it possible to flash a program to the TM4C129x via JTAG communication with this?

I also referred you to this app note https://www.ti.com/lit/an/spma075/spma075.pdf that shows what to do with all the pins on the header. Please see the below table again. If you do according to the recommendation then you will be able to flash programs to TM4C129x via JTAG.

I also saw the table you posted.

If you actually write with JTAG, do you recommend using the minimum required wiring?

I think that the Design Reference Guide Demo did not write such a thing so much.

Hi,

The website I referred you suggests to use ARM 10-pin connector while cTI is also good to use. Since you will be using TI toolchain, using cTI as in your schematic is fine. I have taken screenshot below again.

I got it. By the way, please tell me the document name of the photo you posted.

Also, even the 10-pin one has some parts that are NC, but is it okay to omit this pin on the custom board?
(I would like to reduce the number of connector headers on the board as much as possible to make the custom board smaller.)
