I am working on TM4C129EK with CCS11 and TI-RTOS and Tivaware Driver lib.

I am getting this run time error for using sprintf function

I want to use sprintf function for float to string conversion

Hello Danilo,

They likely are hitting a stack overflow as sprintf takes a lot of stack. It needs at least 1500 in stack space available.

That is the TivaWare Utilities User's Guide provided as part of the TivaWare (SW-TM4C) SDK.

The document is titled SW-TM4C-UTILS-UG-2.2.0.295.pdf and can be found under the docs folder of the TivaWare install.

According to our customer,

I have include #include "utils/ustdlib.h" and try to call usprintf( ) function from the code. I am getting some error.

Hi Ralph,

Actual problem is float to string conversion without using sprintf function, Because sprintf function required mode stack memory in ti-rtos .

Is there any other option in CCS , Tivaware Lib or TI-RTOS for converting the float value to string ???

The usprintf utility is specifically aimed to solve that problem.

As for other options, I am not aware of what other options there might be in Code Composer, for that you'd need to make a dedicated Code Composer thread to have that team comment. For TivaWare, usprintf is what we provide to handle that. The same offering is given with TI-RTOS for Tiva-C, and I am not aware of any alternate offerings as part of the TI-RTOS package.
