TMDS243DC01EVM: Breakout Board Pin Definition Missing

Part Number: TMDS243DC01EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM2434

SPRUJ06 | TI.com

I am attempting to wire up the breakout board to the TMDS243DC01EVM.

Test headers J2 to J9 are missing the pin assignment in Table 3.3.
I cannot correlate the "Net Name" (which corresponds to the "Pin Multiplexed Signal Functions")
to the actual pin assignment on J2 to J9.

Difficult to wire up without this information.
Example:
                          -----------------    EVM Board  -----------------||-------   Breakout Board   ---------------------------
Signal function EPWM0_A is on AM2434 ball U20 --> HSE-E15 --> GPMC0_AD3  -->  Mux U11 --> J6-?

Note also the signal name in Table 3-3 probably should have been
GPMC0_AD3 and not GPMC0_ADC3 to be consistent with the name in Table 3-4,
and in document GP EVM User's Guide Table 3-24.

  • Hi Frank,

    Thank you for the feedback that having pin numbers mentioned in the table in the TMDS243DC01EVM user's guide would be helpful.

    In the meantime, you can reference the schematic that is included in the design package and look at the headers to see what is connected where.  The table in the user's guide will help point you to the correct header, and then you can look up the exact pin in the schematic.  In the example you have listed above, the pin is J6-7:

    Thanks,
    Mike

  • I found the reference mentioned above on the Breakout Board Schematic at

    SPRR443.ZIP (16545 KB), file name PROC102A(002)_SCH.pdf
    I do still recommend updating the tables in document SPRUJ06 | TI.com
    or attach a link to the schematic.
    I'm sure referencing the schematic will answer some future questions. Slight smile
    Thanks
