Hello,

We are designing a display for an avionic system. We need to provide flash update capability. The flash algorithm are provided in LIB form from TI. In order to be DO-178B certified we need to have the flash algorithms in source form. The question is: Is the source code available ? If not, is it possible to get the complete specification for us to write the algorithms ( not the prefered solution ).

NOTE: We are using IAR embedded workbench as compiling and debugging tool.

Hi Normand,

What is your target TI micro ?

As such the flash API source code is not provided to the general market.

All the F035 Flash APIs are tested over Spectrum Digital's emulation hardware.

I will forward your request to the marketing team.

Hello Normand,

With a valid NDA, the source code can be provided in a pdf for review purposes, but for actual use, the compiled API library object file provided by TI must be used to erase and program the Flash. TI will not guaranteed Flash data retention when not using the provided TI object library for erase and program.

Hello John,

Thanks for the info. 2 Questions arises:

1) Is the source code in PDF an exact replica (complete listing, no missing functions or definitions) of the compiled TI LIB ?

2) Is the TI generated LIB useable with IAR Embedded Workbench ? This is the tool we have for generating the executable for the TMS570 processor.
