AM2431: ALX package Availability

Guru 10255 points

Part Number: AM2431
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM2434, AM2432,

Hi Support Team,.

The ALV packages for AM2434 and AM2432 have been released for mass production with priority,
but is it correct to understand that there is no difference in availability by package type
when ALX packages are released in the future?
Since customers would like to have lower cost and better availability devices,
the availability of the ALX package is an important point in device selection,
so please help us to answer the question.

Best regards,
Kanae

  • Hello Kanae,

The AM243x_ALV package was released for mass production, however the AM243x_ALX package will not be released until a future date. As a result, the AM243x datasheet was released as a Mixed Production document (ALV = Production; ALX = Pre-Production/Advanced Info). The AM243x_ALX package is currently scheduled for release in early Q1-2023.

    Best Regards,

    Zackary Fleenor

  • Hi  Fleenor,

    Thank you for your reply.
Will AM2431 be released early Q1-2023 for both ALV and ALX at the same time?
Or will the ALV package for AM2431 also be released slightly earlier?

Also, is the intention of the above answer that you currently do not know
about the availability before the release?

    Best regards,
    Kanae

  • AM2431_ALV has already been released. AM2431_ALX will be released early Q1-2023.

No, device availability and release date go hand in hand. Once released, production ready ALX devices will be available for purchase.

    Best Regards,

    Zackary Fleenor

I check the product site. AM2431_ALV is still preview.

  • Hi Kanae,

Our current timeline is as Zackary Fleenor mentioned, AM2431_ALV and AM243x_ALX to be released early Q1-2023. There is a subscribe button on the product folder page, so I would recommend that to get notified when it's updated!

  • Hi Jovin,

    Thank you for your support!

I will share the information with my customers.

I have already subscribed to the button to subscribe on the product folder page
you informed me about for subscribing, but emails are sent for updates to documents, prices, etc.,
but when the product itself is updated, no email is sent.
Could you please confirm the details of the actual service?

    Best regards,
    Kanae

  • Hi Kanae,

Whenever the product is released, a notification message (like in the screenshot) should come up to notify you when a change has been made.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

    Thanks!

  • Hi Jovin,

I will carefully check the PACKAGE INFORMATION
when I am alerted to changes in the datasheet.
