Hi,
In the video, I don't see the USB mouse connect to the LaunchPad USB device port. . If you look at the screenshot below, what is connected to the LaunchPad USB device port is not a mouse but just a open USB cable. Looks like the USB mouse is connected to the PC. You need to connect the mouse which is a "USB Device" to the LaunchPad's USB device port because the LaunchPad is acting as a USB host.
Hello Charles,
Please see response from our customer:
Hi,
I didn't notice what was connected to the LaunchPad's USB device port is a wireless (e.g. bluetooth) adapter. Can you try a wired mouse instead of wireless?
Hello Charles,
Hi,
I cannot find a ready to use LaunchPad with R25 and R29 populated. I will need to make the board modification.
I modified the board to do two things:
1. Populate 0ohm resistors on R25 and R29.
2. Use a jumper to connect H18 and H19.
With that I loaded the usb_host_mouse example and I use a wired mouse. I immediately see the mouse movement shown on the terminal window. See below.
Please check if you have proper soldering. I can vaguely see on customer's board they just shorted the terminals on R25 and R29. Make sure they are soldered cleanly.
Here is the project I use the run example.
