AM2434: Source code for GEL_reset() fuction

Does "emulation software reset" mean that it must use emulator to do the reset? For example, use XDS110 to reset the MCU? Can customer use the RESET instruction instead?

Hello,

A description of the reset types can be found in the link below. This is an emulator reset, so the XDS is reset, and the device debug logic is reset.

I would encourage them to try with the RESET instruction method. As mentioned before, we haven't completed any testing outside of CCS, so there is no guarantee that these reset functions will operate in the same manner.

Customer wanted to know when executing GEL_RESET function, does it use dbgjtag -f @xds110 -r to reset the AM2434 device? How does the dbgjtag -f @xds110 -r command reset the AM2434? Is there some timing wave available? What registers are configured? Is there any source code?

Above snapshot is the RESET description on XDS110 User Guide.

“To do this, it both toggles the nTRST pin on the debug header and executes a JTAG state transition to TLR through the TMS and TCK pins. ”. How does the “JTAG test-logic-reset” to toggle the nTRST pin and TMS TCK pin, is there some timing wave?

This reset is equivalent to the SW_MCU_WARMRSTz as described in the device TRM.
