Hi,

I would like to build a Code Composer Studio project to run on my TI Sitara board that allows to

get some data from serial connection
make some operations/tasks using one of the MCUs
send the data results back over serial connection
the cycle restarts

Do you know any available example that implements a 2-way serial communication like the one I described above?

Hi,

You can please check the UART example in the MCU+SDK under the path ti/mcu_plus_sdk_am243x/examples/drivers/uart/

Angelo,

Adding few more details about the example -

AM243x MCU+ SDK: SOC and Board Peripheral Drivers (ti.com) - search for the UART examples.

AM243x MCU+ SDK: UART Echo (ti.com) --> shows RX, TX communication using UART peripheral in polling mode. There are other examples also showing usage in interrupt mode etc. You can have a look and share if that helps.

Hi,

Thank you to both of you for your reply. I'm using the example project called "uart_echo_callback". I have 2 questions about that:

in this example, are the functions "UART_write()" and "UART_read()" working in interrupt mode?
how can I set up the "UART_write()" and "UART_read()" speed to the maximum value?

Yes, the UART will be working in the interrupt callback mode, you can verify this info by opening the sysconfig window as shown below

You can set the baud-rate of the UART IP through the same sysconfig window from the "Baudrate" field
