Yes, definitely he should need to pull this pin to high to operate in RMII mode.

If customer is using HDK board then told customer to insert R193 resistor.

Along with this please told customer to all the modifications mentioned in below thread

Customer is not using HDK board.

CRC is not actively generated in the LWIP stack, is EMAC required to generate CRC? If so, how to configure it?

I am suspecting the clock, if clock is not accurate, we might end up with CRC errors

By default, x1 pin of the phyter may connect to 25Mhz clock to operate in MII mode and it should be connected to 50Mhz to operate in RMII mode. So please ask customer to verify his clock.

They are using another PHY and the clock has been verified and there is no problem.

So the customer is wondering if the LWIP stack needs to be modified.

I verified hardware connections of KSZ8081 w.r.t to RMII mode, and this looks fine.

But we don't have driver for KSZ8081

The HALCoGen can generate drivers only for DP83640 and TLK111 PHY's. So, customer have to develop his own driver for KSZ8081.

The following are the configurations for the RMII mode: 

Reading all registers of the PHY shows no configuration issues. It should be a problem with the RMII mode.

And what else in the LWIP protocol needs to be modified?

Your configurations look fine.

But as i told you about the driver for KSZ8081 not available in HALCoGen, so the driver DP83640 customer using for KSZ8081 may not compatible.

By the way, what ip customer is using is it static or DHCP?

what exactly mean by ping is not working? Does the ping command is receiving by board properly?

Does customer configured PHY address properly, because as we are using DP83640 driver for KSZ8081 right?

Hi Jagadish,

The customer measured RMII_TXD[0], RMII_TXD[1], and RMII_TXEN with oscilloscope between EMAC and PHY. When a frame of data is sent, the scope captures all zeros. This should appear to be independent of the PHY drive and should be the EMAC issue with the RMII mode.
