AM2432: RESTRICTED-SECURITY: Problem starting otp_keywriter_am64x_am243x_08.04-windows-installer

Dear TI-Experts,

we need to evaluate the otp device key writing, therefore we requested access to the my secure space: AM243x restricted security content.

We tried to start the windows executable (otp_keywriter_am64x_am243x_08.04-windows-installer.exe) on several PC's (Win 10 and 11) without success:

Question:

1. Have we missed some per-conditions to run this program?

2. Is the JTAG interface required to write the key's - or can we write the key's with a special application software?

In the meantime, can you maybe answer my question beforehand:

2. Is the JTAG interface required to write the key's?

Background:

The assembly point in our production where we have access to the private key it is very rough. So bring in an additional connector to the PCB would require additional activity for our production engineers.

Hi Tommy,

We have confirmed internally that the installer is OK. I would request you to check with your IT team regarding the restrictions on the software.

We have confirmed the installer is working correctly.

I checked internally and to confirm you that JTAG is not required for the keywriter flow. You can feel free to not have those in your hardware setup.

thanks for your reply.

For your information: The Windows program is still not working for us (even on not IT managed PC's) - but we found a workaround using the Linux installer and copy the added information to Windows sdk.
