MCU-PLUS-SDK-AM243X: Enet LLD port combinations on single R5 core

Part Number: MCU-PLUS-SDK-AM243X

Hello,

I am looking for clarification on which combinations of Ethernet ports are supported in the Enet LLD Driver. The release notes for version 8.04.00 of the MCU+ SDK for AM243x and AM64x both say "Independent ICSSG and CPSW drivers execution on same R5 cores not supported." Is this only a temporary issue or will this not be supported in the future?

According to another thread, this was being worked on 4 months ago for release 8.04.

Can PRU_ICSSG0 and PRU_ICSSG1 ports all be configured independently on one core? For example, use PRU_ICSSG0 ports 1 and 2 for EtherCAT MDevice with cable redundancy, and PRU_ICSSG1 for the lwIP stack?

Thank you for your help.
