Hello All,
i am using AWR2943 and i am using CC12.1.0 and for the debugging tool i am using XDS560v2 STM Traveler. But I do not have the driver for it to use.
i am getting this when i see the device manager.
BR,
Thanks,

Hi,
The device manager is identifying/recognizing the device so the USB drivers are installed properly on your system. Otherwise, the device manager would have shown unknown device. So, it does not seem like a driver issue. Can you provide a screen shot of the actual issue you are facing. Are you able to launch a debug session from CCS?
Thanks,
Pradipta.
hello,
this is what I am facing when I want to connect to the target through the debugger
Hello Pradipta Bandyopadhyay
I have changed the configuration in CC to XDS560V2 STM traveler and this error appears.
could you please help me in this I need this debugger to work ASAP.
BR,
Thanks,
Hi,
The error seems to be a connection issue. Can you once the check the cable you are using and also the pin out for the debugger? Can you verify if all the pins are connected to the device correctly and at the correct voltage levels. Are you using the 14 or 20 pin connection?
Thanks,
Pradipta.
Hi,
- how i check the pin out of the debugger?
- yes i am sure i am using the connection correctly with correct voltage ref
- 14 pin
BR,
Thanks,
Hi,
this what i am facing when running the test.
also we have a baby board that is changing the pins from 30pins that is implemented in the AWR2943 Target to 20 pins that the debugger needs.
BR,
Thanks,
Hi,
Can you provide more information on which board you are using. Is it a custom one? or are you using an evm kit? Also please provide more information on how you have made the pin connections (Can you share some schematics or some images of how are connecting the board).
Thanks,
Pradipta.
Hi,
Sorry for the late response, we are using actual development ECU "AWR2943"
you can find the schematic and the images in the drive link I am providing:
drive.google.com/.../16orSMk8xV410LJsQSIrj_bamDusvbi-Q
Thanks,
BR.
Hi,
Can you provide me access to this. Currently i do not have the permission to view the schematic files.
Thanks,
Pradipta.
Hi Amir,
Can you also confirm if the RTCK is looped back to the TCK pin? If not, can you try doing this and let me know your observations.
Thanks,
Pradipta.
Hi,
can you please you tell me what is RTCK and how can I monitor it .
Thanks,
Hi,
The XDS will have the TCK (Test clock) pin and the TCK_RET (Test clock return) pin. Have you provided the loopback connection between these two pins?
Thanks,
Pradipta.
Hi,
Can you provide me a schematic or a picture showing me where are they in XDS.
Also how to provide loopback connection between TCK and RTCK pin?
Thanks,
BR,
Hi Amir,
The below links should help you out.
JTAG Connectors and Pinout (ti.com)
TMS320C6000 DSP Designing for JTAG Emulation Reference Guide
They should be pin 9 and pin 11 on the header connector of the XDS. You can refer the guide for the connection part.
Thanks,
Pradipta.
Hello Pradipta Bandyopadhyay,
We have this debug connection currently connected directly to the XDS510 debugger, As Amir mentioned we are using the actual real target for the AWR2943. We don't understand If you need us to connect PIN 9-11 directly?
Also we are using the CCS tool version12,
Is this version is supporting the XDS510? As in the CCS we don't see that CCS is supporting the debugger.
Could you please support us, As we need to bring-up these debuggers urgently?
Hi Ashour,
Can you clarify on which debugger you are using currently. Is it XDS510 or XDS560v2 as per the original question in the thread.
Also, we have captured all the JTAG debugging issues in the below link. You can go through this as link as well to understand your current issue and resolve it. Please add the screenshot of your current issue you are facing so that we can also look into it.
Thanks,
Pradipta.
Hello Pradipta Bandyopadhyay
Sorry for the confusion, We are trying to use both debuggers actually. so we are facing issues in both debuggers
For the XDS560v2: as mentioned in the beginning of the thread we are facing the error (screenshot already provided) mentioned by Amir Shobak and still we can't overcome it.
For the XDS510: We can't see that the CCSv12 supports that debugger.
As I mentioned we are trying to use both debuggers on the AWR2944 target. We appreciate your support as we have very shortage in the debuggers and we need to use both please.
We can align a call if that suits you as well and make a live session trying to bring-up both debuggers.
