Hi Team,

Can we use Power reference instead of GND for JTAG lines.
What is the power reference? Can you please give me more details?
In PCB layout, the reference plane is either ground plane or power plane. The GND pins of JTAG connector can be connected to Ground plane.
For a scenario, initially the signal routed on external layer and GND plane as a reference after the signal traverse inner layer for the portion of signal which is routed in inner layer is referred with power plane. Is this ok.
The JTAG signals can be routed on any signal layers. If there is one dedicated Ground layer in your PCB, just connect your GND pin to this Ground layer through a vias. Please don't connect GND pins to power layer (3.3V, 5V, 1.2V,...)
