Hi Experts,
I would like to ask for a programming specification of TMS5701114CZWTQQ1. We prefer programming via the JTAG interface.
Thank you in advance.

Hi Josel,
The Hercules devices contains an ICEPICK module to allow JTAG access to the scan chains. The JTAG port has the five standard IEEE 1149.1 interface pins (nTRST, TCK, TMS, TDI, and TDO) plus a return test clock pin (RTCK). TI JTAG-based emulators - XDS110, XDS100V2, XDS200, XDS560V2 emulators can be used.
The device can be programmed through CCS or Uniflash.
Hi Josel,
The JTAG follows IEEE1149.1 spec. The flash is programmed using F021 Flash Library which is also used by CCS and Uniflash. The F021 flash library is widely used by device bootloaders (UART, CAN, Ethernet, SPI, USB, etc).
Hi QJ,
Good day.
The customer knows how to connect signals to the JTAG interface. They support the programming of many chips via this interface.
For this device, we need to know clearly how to connect the device (supplies, clocks, etc.) to be able to program the Flash and how to download the bootloader to the RAM. Everything must be done by our (Elnec) hardware and software, the tools you mentioned in previous answers aren't options. Therefore I asked for the documents where is described how to download the bootloader to RAM.
Please advise.
Regards,
Josel
Does the JTAG Programmer Overview for Hercules-Based Microcontrollers application note help?
The abstract is:
This application report describes the necessary steps needed by the third party developers to create a JTAG-based flash programmer for the Herculesfamily of microcontrollers.
