At present, FW update needs to be performed through the ethernet interface of AM263x MCU. If we develop it ourself, what ethernet transmission protocol do you recommend to use? Is it Fw update over ethercat protocol? Can you provide example code including target MCU & HOST PC? Thanks!

Yes You can use ethercat here.

We do have a demo example to get started with.

But here for this you have to use etherCAT master as host to send the firmware.
