When I open the LM Programmer, the application starts and immediately stops. I have uninstalled / reinstalled with no resolution to the issue.
The program used to work on this same laptop fine.
Please advise how I can fix this issue. Thanks

Hello Lucca,
What operating system are you running?
If you are using Windows, have you tried using compatibility modes or running as an administrator?
Are you using a company laptop where there is company controlled software management?

Hi, Thanks for the quick response. I am running on Windows. It recently upgraded to Win 11 but I had the issue before and after the upgrade.
I have tried running as admin. It is a company laptop and there is securities but none that I know of that would control software to this extent. Others in my company are running the software just fine.
Thanks,
Hello Lucca,
I see, if it wasn't running on Windows 10 then I don't think the issue would be due to the OS update then, and I haven't seen indications its not running on Windows 11.
The reason I asked about company software management is, as you saw on that other thread, I helped my fellow TI employee with LM Flash because the way LM Flash Programmer was built way back when it was released excludes information that some monitoring softwares use to identify it as a Texas Instruments Inc program and instead shows up as an 'unknown program publisher' effectively which doesn't allow it to leverage any blanket exceptions. As a result, that can trigger monitoring software to block it in which case it usually runs and immediately is killed by the software - which is what was happening to my colleague.
I am not sure why you would have this issue while others in your company don't but my best guidance right now would be for you to check on that path.
Best Regards,
Ralph Jacobi
