TMS570LS3137: Redundant configuration for TMS70LS3137

Hi,

I'd like to design a board with two TMS570LS3137 MCUs operating in redundant and synchronized configuration.

          1) Is there any application method for this configuration? Is there any document regarding the redundancy mode?

          2) Is better to use MibSPI or SPI for Intracommunication between the MCUs?

    Hi Ece,

    A single Hercules MCU is designed to support IEC61508 up to SIL3 and ISO 22201 up to SIL 2 compliance. Dual Hercules MCU can support IEC 61508 SIL 4 and ISO 22201 SIL 3 (dual channels with comparison).

    No, we don't have document.

    Yes, MibSPI can be used to exchange information between two MCUs.
