Hi Everyone,

I am kamalesh. I have an microcontroller (cc2538) board. I will test a small dc motor with these microcontroller. If there is any problem ?

Or can I install some driver for that process ?

what can I do ?

These method is safe or unsafe to the chip ?

Someone told , back emf produced and it will damage your chip.

Hi Kamalesh,

You will need a motor driver IC or some other form of separation (like a relay or MOSFET) to protect the CC2538 pins. You can refer to the CC2538-SW Foundation Firmware for PWM, GPIO, and other communication drivers to help control the DC motor using on-chip peripherals.
