MSPM0L1105: BSL (UART) pin and Vref+ pin are assigned to the same pin

Hi,

We are considering adopting MSPM0L1105.

BSL (UART) pin and Vref+ pin are assigned to the same pin. Is it possible to use BSL with UART if I want to reference the ADC to an external voltage reference via Vref+?

Thanks,

Astro

  • Hello Astro,

From the factory, your observation is correct that UART BSL plus external VREF for ADC for this device is at conflict. You can use the BSL Plugin feature though, to change the UART instance or pins used (or entirely different interface if you want) . It does require some Flash space to do this.

  • Hi, Jace

I checked the user guide, but there is not much information. Could you please point me to a reference document or a specific setting method?

    Thanks,

    Astro

  • Hello Astro,

This information will be contained within the MSPM0 BSL User Guide. The preliminary version should be located in the mysecureSW folder where the rest of the documentation is. There are also code examples located in the SDK under the LP_MSPM0L1306 -> bsl folders.
