UNIFLASH: Uniflash write speed is slow compared to CCS

Hi,

Writing is completed in several tens of seconds when writing with CCS, but it takes about 2 minutes when writing a HEX file via UniFlash. However, there is no error in uniflash and the writing is completed normally. The writing tool I'm using is XDS110.

Please let me know if there is a way to speed up writing with uni-flash. Any HEX file format is acceptable.

Device: TMS320F280039C

Thanks,

Evee

  • Hello,

When using CCS, are you flashing the same HEX file directly? Or are you loading the *.out file? If you are loading the *.out file, what happens when you load the same *.out file in uniflash?

    Thanks

  • Hi, ki

Yes, we are writing the same Hex file, but there is a considerable difference in writing time.
Please let me know if you have any advice.

    Thanks,

This is unusual. Are the flash progamming settings and veification settings same in both environments? If so, then there should not be much difference since the same flash algorithm should be being used.

What CCS and UniFlash versions are being used?

    Thanks
