TMDS243EVM: DDR initialisation using GEL files hangs in DEV-BOOT mode

After running the SOC Initialization using CCS scripting, running "AM24_DDR_Initialisation_ECC_Disabled" from the Scripts menu hangs.

js:> loadJSFile "C:\ti\mcu_plus_sdk_am243x_08_05_00_24\tools\ccs_load\am243x\load_dmsc_hsfs.js"

DDR initialisation using GEL files does not support TMDS243EVM with HS-FS device?

Could you tell me how to initialise DDR in DEV-BOOT mode?

We have replicated the issue on our end. We will fix the same and get back to you on the same.

My suggestion would be -

Load the sbl_null.debug.out file attached via Debugger. This will initialize the DDR memory which can be used to load the images.

Thank you for your reply. Sorry for the late reply.

The out file you attached worked fine to initialize the DDR memory instead of the GEL file.

Do we have to wait for the next release of MCU+ SDK for the issue to be fixed?

Hi Aakash-san,

The patched SBL NULL example worked fine to initialize the DDR memory as well as the attached out file.

Do the SBL examples except the SBL NULL example work by default to initialize DDR memory? Or do they need to be modified?

Will the issue with the initialization scripts in GEL file be fixed in the next release SDK?
