TMS570LC4357: CAN Configuration is not as expected

Hi,

The CAN Registers TIOC and RIOC are not according to the Code. Can someone give me some insight on this.

According to the Configuration and Code in HL_can, I am expecting TIOC and RIOC as 0x00040008 but the values are 0x00040009 (Pic2)

and TIOC changes further to 0x0004000F as updating CTL Register (Pic3).

Is there a CAN transceiver connected to CAN port?

After reset, the default values of TIOC and RIOC are 0x40001.

The TIOC and RIOC can only be written when the CAN module is in "Initialization" mode.

0x40009: The TX and RX are used as functional pins (4rd bit = 1). The value of all other bits doesn't matter.

Yes, But You can see that the TIOC is set to 0x4000F in Pic3. Will this not affect the CAN Peripheral??

Yes, it is correct.

canREG1->TIOC and canREG1->RIOC will configure those two registers. After Initialization is cleared, the register displays the default value.
