Hello,
Can you help me with:
The LINK and ACT LED signals from each of the PHYs get fed back into the AM2434 on GPO8/9 for each MII channel – why is this? Is it a PRU thing or an R5 thing?
Best regards
Jorgen

As far as I know, The feedback of the LINK and ACT LED signals from each PHY into the AM2434 on GPO8/9 for each MII channel is done to monitor the status of the connection and activity of each PHY. The information obtained from this feedback can be used to control the status of LEDs to indicate the status of each MII channel.
For further details, you can take a look at this datasheet: www.ti.com/.../sprz457f.pdf
Hi Zain,

=> Yes this is done to give phy signal feedback to PRU MII module about the link and activity signal.
