TMS570LC4357: Initialization of Cortex 5F Microcontroller

This application note does not directly apply to TMS570LC4357, although many of the basic concepts are the same. You can use the safety diagnostics library (http://www.ti.com/tool/SAFETI_DIAG_LIB) for an example of how to initialize, test and enable the safety features on TMS570LC4357. This library includes a demo application that walks through the different checks that can be performed during initialization.

After some reading the latest version 2.3.1, the next step is run the demo_app and try it out.

Importing the SafeTI Diagnostic Library\2.3.1\demo_app does not work well. Is there any ccs project available for me to test?

Thanks to the pointer. Just get it working now after I have installing 2.4.0 and look into the documentation in the folder Hercules\SafeTI Diagnostic Library\2.4.0\docs

Can you assist me on the two questions?

1) Can the firmware output run on both the launchpad and HDK board?

2) Is any PC application required to inject fault for the testing?

It will work on both the boards and not designed for any specific board, or else you can even take the part of the code and related declarations to a new project and can execute it.
