AM2431: The USB driver in the SDK does not support the USB 2.0 host mode

Part Number: AM2431

The user manual states that the USB driver in the SDK does not support the USB 2.0 host mode function.

Section: Features Not Supported

Q1. What is the status of USB2.0 host mode support in the TI-SDK? Does TI will support USB2.0 host mode?
Q2: If host mode is not supported, to which layer of functionality is it unsupported? (For example, API from the application is not supported, device driver is not supported, etc.)
Q3: If host mode is not supported, is there any way to apply host functions?

  • Hi Konishi-san,

Q1 There is no plan to support USB host functions in MCU+ SDK yet

Q2 We do have Cadence lower level USB driver which supports the USB host functions, but it is not integrated into the TinyUSB yet

Q3 We do have Cadence lower level USB driver and example for USB host endpoint BULK communication

For complete commercial USB 2.0 host solution, we recommend our third party partner: MCCI. They have complete USB solution including USB device, host stacks for AM243x.

Please contact 'Terry Moore' <tmm@mcci.com> (MCCI CEO) for details.

    Best regards,

    Ming
