Hi,

Is any 5V microcontroller available in TI? I am designing a custom board with MSP430F5438AIPZR for GPIO-based interfaces and due to external noise the microcontroller resets to replace this microcontroller i need a 5v microcontroller to work in a noisy environment

C2000 does not offer 5V nor 5V tolerant MCUs.

It is arguable if 5V has much impact on system noise tolerance.

Hi Chris,

I am working with the MSP430 & MSP432 series of microcontrollers, sometimes the microcontroller resets due to noise can you suggest any microcontroller that could handle unpredictable reset due to noise?

If any other methods are available could you suggest me?

Sasi,

I work with www.ti.com/c2000 real-time controllers. These are used in power electronics applications where electrical switching noise is common. These products have been 3.3V for 25 years.

Hey Sasi,

Even the new TI Sitara MCU (and previous gen Hercules Safety MCU) devices tend to focus on 3.3 V and 1.8 V operating voltage supplies with a relative downward trend as process node technology improves.
