LP-AM243: TSN - PTP - Master mode Evaluation

Hi,

SDK: AM243x MCU+ SDK 08.05.00, LP AM243 /AM243x EVM

We are trying to evaluate the TSN capabilities using LP AM243/AM243x EVM. We are able to test the TSN - PTP with the Launchpad as a Slave and Linux machine as Master using the provided Enet Layer 2 Multi-Channel Example.

Kindly clarify on the following:

1) Does the reference stack support the LP AM243/ AM243x EVM device to be configured as a Master?

2) Availability of an example application to test the Device in Master mode

Hi Praveen,

From hardware capabilities perspective, yes, AM243x can be configured in the controller (master) mode.

Regarding the example, this example is not available today. We are currently discussing the options to get this enabled.

We are currently undergoing our yearly planning process and will have final roadmap ready by end of this month.

Its planned with early 9.x SDK release. I will update once we have a date finalized for the same here.
