TMS570LS1224: Halcogen and SafeTI Certification with TI ARM Clang

Part Number: TMS570LS1224
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: HALCOGEN

Hello,

In the linked post, it was stated that only "armcl" compiler is recommended for safety certification.(IEC61508 or ISO 26262). I have a couple of follow up questions regarding this recommendation,

  • Can you please throw some light on this recommendation ? what are the blocking points for using ti-arm.clang compiler?
  • If we use the ti-arm-clang for our safety critical project, can we still follow the TI compiler qualification kit(for clang) to get the certification?
  • If we use the ti-arm-clang compiler can we make necessary changes to halcogen generated code and still use halcogen CSP to get it certified? I didnt find any dependency of compiler in halcogen csp user guide. Does the Halcogen TAU(LDRAUnit project) is dependent on the compiler usage?
  • For SafeTI library, can we still use it with ti-arm-clang?

Thanks in advance.
