AM2634-Q1: XAM2634BOLFHMZCZQ

Part Number: AM2634-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LP-AM263

Dear Support team,

The question related to the RSVD_T4 and RSVD_U1 connection.

The designer used the E1 development board schematic where the RSVD_T4 was connected to the 1v2 and the RSVD_U1 was connected to an external ADC.

So in the design, the T4 is connected to the 1V2 and the U1 is floating.

The design files have already been circulated to the manufacturer.

Will our board work (maybe except the internal temperature sensor) with these connections or do we need to call back the design and correct the connections?

Thank you very much.

Have a great Day.

  • Hi Zoltan,

On the original Pre-RTM AM263x devices, T4 and U1 were used with a temperature diode that is not available on the RTM device.  While it is strongly recommended that the T4 and U1 pins be grounded as stated in the datasheet, I do not think it will prevent the device from functioning if T4 is tied to 1V2 and U1 is floating (as evidenced by the LP-AM263 working with newer, post-RTM, devices.

If this build is a prototype build, I think you will be fine.  If the build is a production build, I would recommend recalling the the design and making the corrections to T4 and U1.

    Thanks,
    Mike
